How we work
The things that actually decide whether a job goes well
None of this is complicated. It is simply the difference between a trade that is organised and one that is not.
A written quote before anything starts
You get a fixed, itemised price in writing — what is included, what is not, and what happens if something unexpected turns up once work begins.
One tradesperson, accountable throughout
The person who quotes the work is the person who does it. Nothing gets lost between trades, and there is one number to call if anything needs revisiting.
Preparation is part of the job, not an extra
Filling, sanding, priming and protecting the room are priced in. It is the difference between a finish that lasts and one that needs redoing.
The property is left as we would want to find it
Floors and furniture covered, dust controlled, and the work area cleaned at the end of each day rather than only at the end of the job.
The process
From first message to signed off
Four steps, no ambiguity about what happens next or what it will cost.
- 01
Tell us the job
Send the details and a few photos through the quote form, or call. The more we know up front, the more accurate the price.
- 02
Survey and written quote
For most jobs we can quote from photos and measurements. Larger work gets a site visit. Either way the price arrives in writing.
- 03
Booked to a date
You get a confirmed date and an arrival window, plus a note of anything you need to move or clear beforehand.
- 04
Completed and signed off
We walk the finished work with you before invoicing. Anything not right is put right.

Questions
Straight answers to the usual questions
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Quotes are free and provided in writing. For most jobs we can price from photographs and measurements; larger or more complex work gets a site visit first, also at no charge.
How quickly can you start?
Small repairs and maintenance visits can usually be booked within a few days. Full decorating and larger fitting jobs are typically scheduled one to three weeks ahead, depending on the time of year.
Do you work for landlords and letting agents?
Yes. End-of-tenancy turnarounds, snagging lists and ongoing maintenance are a regular part of the work. Invoices can be issued with purchase order references and payment terms where required.
Do you supply materials, or should I?
Either. If we supply, materials are itemised on the quote at cost plus collection. Many customers prefer to choose and buy their own paint or fittings, which is entirely fine — we will tell you exactly what to order and how much.
What happens if the job turns out to be bigger than expected?
Work stops and you are told before any additional cost is incurred. Stripping wallpaper or opening up a repair sometimes reveals a problem underneath. You will always see it and agree the revised price before we continue.
How do I pay?
Bank transfer, or card payment through a secure link on your invoice. Larger jobs are usually staged with a deposit and a balance on completion. Full details are on the payments page.
Tell us what needs doing.
Send the details and any photos and you will have a written quote back — normally within one working day. No charge, and no obligation.
